Maintenance

To ensure long-lasting and safe use of GALE SPEED wheels, please check the following points.

Daily Maintenance

Thoroughly wet the wheels with water, then wash them using a neutral car wash detergent or similar product. Afterward, rinse off all detergent completely with water and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use aggressive detergents or parts cleaners.
Especially for semi-gloss black wheels, no clear coating (topcoat) is applied to maintain the texture, so please handle carefully to avoid damaging the paint.

Recommended Regular Checks When Changing Tires

Wheels accumulate minor damage from use. At tire change intervals, be sure to check the following points.
Wear varies greatly depending on usage and environment. The following are guidelines only. Please have regular checks performed at a shop or similar.

Bearing Condition
If you hear grinding noises or feel roughness or sticking during rotation, replacement is necessary. Also check for any play.

Hub Damper Play
If there is play when manually moving the sprocket area, damper deterioration is suspected. Replacement is recommended.

Air Valve Deterioration
Rubber valves and O-rings degrade over time. It is recommended to replace them together with the tires.

Rim Runout and Deformation
Check the rim surface for dents or bends. Use a wheel balancer to check if necessary.

■ Other Inspection Points
Regularly check that sprocket bolts, rotor bolts, and other fasteners are not loose. Loose bolts can lead to serious accidents.

The lifespan of bearings and hub dampers varies greatly depending on mileage and riding style. Especially for those riding over 10,000 km per year, extra caution is needed.

Please entrust all inspections and maintenance to a trusted dealer or service shop.
To maximize wheel performance and enjoy safe riding, do not forget regular inspections and maintenance.
